Data use policy
Collective signals, not personal dossiers
Thought-Census currently does not sell raw answers, account emails, or individual activity histories. We do not build advertising audiences from a person's answers or infer sensitive traits about a person.
When Thought-Census creates a public summary, sponsor report, research report, or product insight, it must use aggregated results. Reports may describe counts, answer themes, public topic activity, and clearly labeled methodology. They must not identify a Node, connect a Node to a private email, or expose an individual's unpublished account data.
Sponsored questions must be visibly labeled, must not receive hidden ranking advantages, and must follow the same moderation and public-context rules as ordinary questions. A sponsor cannot edit or remove public answers because they dislike the outcome.
Research or commercial analysis involving sensitive subjects, minors, health, political persuasion, religion, sexuality, race, or other protected characteristics requires a separate documented review before collection. Thought-Census will not present anonymous community content as statistically representative polling unless the methodology supports that claim.
If this policy changes materially, Thought-Census will publish an updated version and request renewed acceptance before applying new data uses to an account.
